Breast Cancer Awareness Month

PHILIPSBURG – Independent Member of Parliament (MP) Leona Marlin-Romeo, representing the Sint Maarten Sickle Cell Foundation, donated in time to a worthy cause in honour of October: Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The event was organized by Grisha Marten-Heyliger which consisted of celebrity waitresses serving invited guests who in turn gave generous tips to the waitresses for the cause.

MP Marlin-Romeo was able to make $600 in tips which was donated to the Positive Foundation and Elektralytes. Over 10k was raised for the two organizations.

The MP would like to thank her invited guests for their contributions and gives a special thank you to Debra Abram for her valuable contribution in decorating the table of the MP.
